Family Sessions

Custom Session (Inside or outside) The first step of designing your custom session is the portrait consultation.  Thiis complimentary planning session gives you the chance to customize your session around you and your family.  We go over clothing choices, backgrounds and locations, product options, and even decorating with photography and how to choose a style that fits your needs.

For a limited time, our session fee is zero.  A minumum deposit is required to book your appointment, but the entire amount can be used towards your order.  

With a $400 deposit, you have up to one hour of photography at our studio, inside or outside.

With a $800 deposit, you have up to two hours of photography at our studio, inside or outside, and includes a DVD slideshow of your session.

We can also come to you with a Location Session. Location Fees begin at $50, depending upon the distance.

If you are looking for something simpler, we also offer a basic session with a $100 minimum order. There is no portrait consultation and you can view and order your images immediately after the session. This session is only available Tuesday through Friday from 10-5 and is typically 10 minutes long.

Family Connections

Family connections is its own separate family sitting, the fee for which is included in the price. It should not be done in conjunction with any other sitting. Family connections prints are glossy black and whites. All prints included in the options below come framed. The 5x10s and 10x20s are framed in a thin, museum-type metal frame. Larger prints are framed in a 4” contemporary black frame. All family members need to wear a black, long-sleeved shirt to the session (preferably no turtlenecks). Cory will photograph each family member separately on a black background. Then, you choose which image is your favorite of each family member, and Cory combines them into one family portrait.

Option 1—A 20x40 and two 10x20s $850

A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life is a special type of family sitting, the fee for which is included in the price. Cory will meet your family at the location of your choice and spend two hours photographing you. Yes, he will take some posed portraits, but the majority of the images are meant to tell a story about your family at this time in your lives. In planning for this session, your family should sit down and discuss what is important to you. If you enjoy sports, you might consider playing a game of family football or baseball. If you spend a lot of time with your pets, how about everybody get together and wash the family dog in a big tub out in your backyard. It can be as simple as all of you going through a normal day in your home— sitting on the couch watching television; everyone in the kitchen preparing a meal; maybe everyone outside working in the yard. The choices are endless.

This session is meant to be a day set aside for your family to enjoy being with each other...and we just happen to be there with a camera to capture it all. From these images, Cory will design a slideshow and a 20-page 10x10 coffee table book that tells the story of the day. Of course, you can order individual prints from the session as well as additional gift books.

Family Club

The Family Club was created for our friends (new and old) who want to create a memory of their family every year. These are some of our favorite people because they feel that what we do for them is important enough to make it a yearly ritual in their lives. This club enables you to make a "family album" every year, a tradition that once started is very hard to stop.

The Family Club Plan A includes:
-Three “A Day in the Life” sessions (one a year)
-a 20-page "family album" storybook custom designed by Cory to tell the story of the day with your family from each session
-a DVD Slideshow of each session
-25 Christmas cards from each session
Enrollment Fee—$3,000 (Current Value $3,750)

A Day in the Life session includes images of the family interacting with each other. For example, a family playing touch football, having a picnic, giving the dog a bath...anything that a family does together. Posed portraits of the family are also taken at this time, including breakdowns. Adding extended family to a session is $5 per person.


The Family Club Plan B includes:

-Three studio sessions (one a year)
-a 16x20 framed Heirloom portrait
-a DVD Slideshow of each session
Enrollment Fee--- $2,000 (Current Value $2,460)

As with our other clubs, all Family Club members receive 10% off of every order from these sessions.

How do I enroll my family?

Just give us a call to schedule a planning session. We have a slideshow of family portraits we have done in the past that can help you get some ideas about what you would like to do with your first session. Then, we will discuss issues such as clothing coordination and the portrait ordering process. If you would like to enroll your family in the club, you will fill out an enrollment form and pay the enrollment fee or sign up for a plan.
